I somehow almost puked playing this game.

Firstly, I want to say that I have wrongly assumed that this game is anything similar to an investigation game like The Roottrees are Dead or Obra Dinn. It looks like that on the surface but it's closer to a Visual Novel, with some real time aspects.

The game starts out...innocently? I'm not sure if that's the correct word.

Fundamentally, it's a game where you snoop around and submit things you find 'online' to an assistant who can take concrete actions, which is what I obediently did. It did not occur to me that the supervisor can only make conclusions based on what's submitted by me, but the game did drop hints about that using the supervisor's reactions, instead of explicitly.

It was only a little later when I discovered that I can literally alter the fate of a character based on what I submit. There is even one scenario where it's real time which is really really cool. Once I understood that, I became very addicted to finding out alternate routes and to be honest, I haven't felt that way about a game for a long long time.

Anyway, the reason why I almost puked was that I was so immersed at some of the chapters (music cues and writing were amazing) that I felt sick to the stomach when really bad outcomes happen to characters I grew to care about due to my actions.

Man, I couldn't sleep for a few days haha.

Really good game.
