Wow. This game REALLY has something it wants to express. Its boldness slaps you in the face.
Psychedelic colour transitions, fast snappy gameplay, gore, blood and dead bodies everywhere, trippy plot... the developers really have something they want to tell.
I really liked how concise the game is. The game has one thing to express for gameplay and theme, and it does them excellently. Kill, die, try again. Sure, repetition might be an issue but retrying is thankfully snappy and fast that you don't really have time to be too upset.
The only thing I felt holding it back is the offscreen dangers that one-shot you without warning. It's frustrating but ai think it's a reasonable decision made by the developers. It could be that they expect players to memorise the layout of a level and do a speed run. To be honest this is most likely the case since they give scores based on that and that restarting a level is so snappy.
I think the game is great overall with some scuffed-ness around the edges. I do think a user need to have some level of an aquired taste to appreciate it.
